Fotiva Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Fotiva collects, why we use it, how long we keep it, and the controls available to you. Fotiva is a photography community operated through the Common Post service.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile
We collect the email address and password credential you provide for sign-in, together with your nickname, biography, topics, avatar and account timestamps. Credentials are stored locally on your device; the service receives only the account identifiers and profile fields needed to authenticate and operate your account.
Photos and metadata
When you publish or upload a photo, we process the image, title, description, tags, moderation result, publication state and timestamps. Private file objects are served with temporary signed URLs.
Interactions and messages
Likes, saves, follows, comments, reports, blocks, notifications and direct messages are stored to provide those features, protect the community and keep account data isolated.
Purchases and promotions
We store coin account balances, order identifiers, purchase status, receipt verification results and promotion delivery records. Payment details are handled by the relevant App Store or Google Play billing system; we do not receive your full payment card number.
Device, calls and permission signals
We record limited device metadata for session security and support. Camera, microphone, photo-library and notification permissions are accessed only when you use the related feature. Video-call camera and microphone tracks are created on your device through WebRTC and are stopped when you leave the call screen or the app moves to the background. We do not record or retain call audio or video in this build, scan unselected photos, or use the camera or microphone in the background.
2. How we use information
- Provide sign-in, profiles, photo publishing, discovery, search, messaging and notifications.
- Moderate content, investigate reports, prevent abuse and protect account security.
- Process purchases, deliver Photo Coins, operate promotions and reconcile orders.
- Diagnose failures, measure service reliability and improve performance.
- Meet legal obligations and respond to valid rights or safety requests.
3. Sharing and visibility
Published profiles, photos, public interactions and promotion records can be visible to other users according to the product controls. Private account, message, wallet and device records are scoped to the relevant account. We do not sell personal information or use private messages for advertising.
We share information with service providers that host Common Post records, deliver signed files, provide platform billing or help us maintain safety and reliability. They may process information only to provide those services.
4. Retention
We keep account and profile information while your account exists. Photos and public records remain until you delete them or they are removed under our rules. Transaction records are retained for the period required by law and store policies. Device logs are retained for up to 180 days unless a longer period is needed for security or a legal request.
When you request account deletion, local credentials and private device state are removed after the 15-day withdrawal period. Some public records may be anonymized or retained where required for safety, fraud prevention, disputes or legal compliance.
5. Security
We use authenticated API requests, account-scoped access, transport encryption, signed URLs for private files, version checks for updates and local credential isolation. No service can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your device and report suspicious activity promptly.
6. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct or update your profile and published content.
- Export account data from Me → Settings → Account & privacy.
- Delete your account or withdraw optional permissions from device settings.
- Request information about processing, retention or a restriction where applicable law provides that right.
We may need to verify your account before completing a request. We respond within the period required by applicable law.
7. Children
Fotiva is not intended for children who are below the minimum digital-consent age in their location. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The version and effective date are shown at the top of this document. Material changes will be presented before you continue using affected features.
